NFL GRAPHICS
Project Breakdown

This is a brief overview of the sports graphics package created for the 2024/2025 NFL podcast season. The workflow was built around automated data retrieval, scraping weekly stats and results from ESPN into Google Sheets, which were then linked to dynamic components in Cavalry for 2D motion graphics.

Through this system, I was able to generate around 150 graphics each week with nearly a single click. I designed 15 different graphic sets, including a 3D-rendered background and a 3D animated transition, building a fully scalable and reusable production pipeline for the show.

Host chosen hero of the week graphic

Player is manually selected in the table by the hosts of the podcast.

There is separate table with all the players and their information listed

(team the play for, age, height, weight, position).

Cavalry reads the Google Sheet table and searches the data base for the player

picture that is named like the player selected.

It also looks at other table where the players are listed and draws the rest of information.

Colors and team logos are linked to the team name andit updates automaticaly.

Box Score graphic pulled from the ESPN website

Data is scraped from ESPN website and it's formatted intro Google Sheet table.

Data is then used in Cavalry and corresponding elements are updated accordingly.

Background and transition are made with Houdini and Substance Painter, rendered in Redshift and composited in After Effects.
